“The laser pointers were really cool and helped myself and my wife (who is visually impaired) track what the guide was talking about. He was clearly knowledge, clearly cared about stargazing and made special efforts to make sure my wife got the most out of the experience, especially with the telescope. The experience also included a high quality photo of us against the night sky, which while posted online (on Flickr) will still be gracing our wall when we return. Overall an incredible evening and well worth the money”

“I had a really excellent time. The stargazing sight was far enough away from light pollution that the sky was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate and we were able to see a range of things throughly the telescopes. We were given hot chocolate in souvenir cups which was a nice addition and had photos professionally taken as well. I really enjoyed the experience. My only note is if you are walking to the site (particularly by yourself), bring something reflective or bring a torch! :)”

“This tour is well organised and extremely informative. The sheer beauty and clarity of the night sky is breathtaking. There was no moon on the night I visited, but the light from the stars and the Milky Way was bright enough to find your way around. (You do get a lanyard torch however). The views through the telescopes are mind-blowing as well. I thoroughly recommend this activity, and I hope I get the chance to do this again one day!”

“Pick up was a bit confusing..several Cheeky Kiwi vans all showing up about same time. Some next to Ramada, some across street. Ride was good to Mt. Cook, scenery lovely. Approx 3 hrs to do full track hike. 1 hr to do hike to first bridge..well worth it. Second half of tour to Christchurch was fine…seemed a bit rushed at times. Nice drivers…hard to hear clearly, especially all the way in the back.”

“Wonderful to soak in the hot water after a busy day. Adequate seating areas in the pool, including in the center. Lockers for rent to stow personal belongings away if needed. Disappointed that the middle pool and also a smaller pool to the right hand side of the entry were closed. The large middle pool was being renovated with scaffolding everywhere which affected the beautiful views and from the lower pool (35 degrees Celsius), one had to stand up to see them. Despite the challenges the high winds threw up, our guide worked exceptionally to photograph our group before the storm rolled in.”
